Why can’t I see one student’s work in Google Classroom even though it shows up in Jotit?

If you run into an issue where a students can see their work on Jotit, but the teacher is not able to see the work in Google Classroom, first check to see if the student can see their own work on their Google Classroom account.

If the work appears on Jotit AND in the student's Google Classroom account:

This is likely a caching issue on the teacher's end. Sometimes, even though the file is really updated, Google Classroom may be showing the teacher an outdated version of the file. The best way to ensure you're looking at the latest version of the file is to do the following:

Step 1: Open the File in Google Classroom 0:00

  • Locate the file you want to check

  • Open the file directly from the teacher review section

Step 2: Refresh the File 0:23

If the work appears on Jotit BUT NOT in the student's Google Classroom account:

This is likely due to a sync error. Have the student do the following:

  1. Unsubmit their assignment through Jotit
  2. Fully sync Jotit
    1. Pull down the quick settings menu from the top right corner and press the refresh button OR
    2. Go to settings and select "Sync data"
  3. Resubmit the assignment
